A grand owl, 15 cm tall and 440 grams in the hand, standing on sculpted grey feet. The face and ear tufts are modelled in soft grey; round yellow eyes look straight ahead with the calm attention owls are known for. The body is laid entirely in Natural Baltic Amber — lemon, butterscotch and honey — with dark amber pieces set among them like the markings of real plumage.

Every fragment was chosen by eye, cut, matched for colour and fitted by hand, edge to edge, over a ceramic form, then polished until the surface reads as one. A single owl of this size takes two months of work in our Brooklyn, New York workshop — the only Baltic amber manufactory in the United States. There is no mould and no second copy: each fragment carries its own inclusions and tone, so the mosaic on this owl cannot be repeated by us or by anyone.

Baltic amber is fossilized tree sap some 44 million years old, gathered on the shores of the Baltic Sea. KIZIMA® carries the craft of Königsberg — the historic amber capital of the world, home of the Amber Room — to New York. The piece is accompanied by the KIZIMA® certificate of authenticity.

• Ships from: our KIZIMA® workshop in Brooklyn, New York — to the United States and worldwide.
• U.S. shipping: free on orders over $100; flat $6.95 on orders under $100. Delivery typically 2–7 business days.
• International shipping: from $25, calculated by weight at checkout; delivery 7–14 business days. Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
• Processing: in-stock orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days; made-to-order pieces may take longer.
• Tracking: a confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order ships.

Returns Policy

• Return Window: returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
• Return Process: contact us at elena@kizima.us with your order number and reason for return. We will provide return authorization and instructions.
• Refunds: once we receive and inspect the returned item, a refund is issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
