A Stone With a History
Baltic amber has been carried out of the sea for thousands of years, but its golden age had a capital: Königsberg. For centuries the city on the Baltic coast was the world's amber trading center — its workshops shipped carved amber to royal courts across Europe. One surviving piece from that era, a 17th-century amber chess set, now sits in the permanent collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York — a quiet reminder of how far amber craftsmanship can travel, and how long it can last.
KIZIMA® carries that same lineage forward — not as a replica, but as a living craft. We brought the tradition of hand-carved Baltic amber to Brooklyn, New York, and built our own manufactory here: from raw stone to finished piece, entirely under one roof.
