Made in USA Baltic Amber Königsberg Grand Chess Set, Hand-Fused Pieces, Gift Box & Certificate, Christmas & Retirement Heirloom Gift — KIZIMA®

Born in Königsberg. Handcrafted in New York. The only Baltic amber chess set made in America. KIZIMA® KÖNIGSBERG IMPERIAL, Amber Capital Collection — a grand-format heirloom for the collector who values not just objects, but stories.

Königsberg means “King's Mountain” — and that is exactly what this grand set resembles: a mountain of amber, its translucent honey and cognac tones frozen like a golden iceberg drawn from the Baltic Sea.

Königsberg — once the amber capital of the world — produced masterworks so extraordinary they now rest in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City: a 17th-century Königsberg amber chess board and 32 amber chessmen, preserved for centuries.

Elena Kizima was born in that city. She and her husband Yuriy brought that legacy to New York — every piece shaped, polished, and assembled entirely by hand. No manufacturing lines. No overseas production. One family, carrying forward 700 years of Königsberg amber tradition, in the same city where the Met preserves it.

Amber cannot be carved whole into a set this size — the stone is too small and fragile. So since the royal amber workshops of the 18th century, masters have hand-fused genuine amber together with jewelry-grade amber resin. Ocean-wave sculptural edges catch the light at every angle; rich honey, cognac, and deep golden tones make every set unrepeatable.
