Seven centimetres of Frenchie, seated squarely with the head cocked a little to one side: the big bat ears, the flat muzzle and wrinkled brow, the broad chest, front paws planted apart. Smooth and glossy all over — no facets, just the breed’s clean shape — cast in translucent natural Baltic amber that runs from pale honey at the ears through orange across the body to deep cognac in the chest, with the bands and cloudy inclusions that only real amber shows. Set it in a window and the whole dog turns to fire.

Baltic amber formed around 44 million years ago, and no two pieces repeat their clarity or banding. This Frenchie is a single piece: the colour flow you see in the photos is exactly the one you receive.

Handcrafted in the KIZIMA® workshop in Brooklyn, New York, the only Baltic amber manufactory in the United States, with roots in Königsberg — the historic amber capital whose masters made the amber chessboard now in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Returns Policy

• Return Window: returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
