Eight centimetres nose to tail: a smooth-coat dachshund sitting back on its haunches, long body stretched out, soft ears dropped, head turned toward you with that patient, slightly expectant look. Cast in translucent natural Baltic amber — pale honey through the face and front paws, deepening to cognac along the back — with the dark flecks and cloudy inclusions that only real amber carries. On a sunny windowsill the whole dog glows from inside.

Baltic amber formed around 44 million years ago, and no two pieces repeat their clarity or inclusions. Every dachshund from this mould is different inside; yours has a pattern no one else owns.

Handcrafted in the KIZIMA® workshop in Brooklyn, New York, the only Baltic amber manufactory in the United States, with roots in Königsberg — the historic amber capital whose masters made the amber chessboard now in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

• Ships from: our KIZIMA® workshop in Brooklyn, New York — to the United States and worldwide.
• U.S. shipping: free on orders over $100; flat $6.95 on orders under $100. Delivery typically 2–7 business days.
• International shipping: from $25, calculated by weight at checkout; delivery 7–14 business days. Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
• Processing: in-stock orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days; made-to-order pieces may take longer.
• Tracking: a confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order ships.

Returns Policy

• Return Window: returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
• Return Process: contact us at elena@kizima.us with your order number and reason for return. We will provide return authorization and instructions.
• Refunds: once we receive and inspect the returned item, a refund is issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
