Made in USA Natural Baltic Amber Begging Puppy Figurine, Sitting Up Puppy with Raised Paws Sculpture, Honey Amber Desk Decor, Gift Dog Lover KIZIMA®

For the dog trainer who has taught a hundred “sit pretty”s, the child who begs for a puppy the same way, the office friend who needs something to smile at between calls, the aunt whose spaniel still does the trick at twelve years old, the patient in a hospital room who misses the dog at home — and for anyone who has lost a puppy that used to beg at the table. A Made in USA Natural Baltic Amber begging puppy figurine is a birthday, get-well, stocking or pet-memorial gift that asks for nothing except a place on the shelf.

The puppy sits back on its haunches with both front paws lifted, ears hanging soft, nose tipped up toward whoever is holding the treat. Five centimetres of translucent natural Baltic amber, honey at the ears and chest and deepening to cognac through the body, with the dark flecks and cloudy inclusions that mark real amber. In lamplight the raised paws glow brightest, as if already reaching.

Baltic amber formed around 44 million years ago, and no two pieces carry the same clarity or inclusions. Every puppy from this mould is different inside; the one in your box has a pattern no one else owns.

Handcrafted in the KIZIMA® workshop in Brooklyn, New York, the only Baltic amber manufactory in the United States, with roots in Königsberg — the historic amber capital whose masters made the amber chessboard now in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
