A double-six set of twenty-eight tiles, each cut from natural Baltic amber in its warm golden variety — sunlit honey and butterscotch, clouded in places the way the material was left when it hardened on the Baltic coast some 44 million years ago. Held up to a lamp, every tile shows a different interior. The set cannot be duplicated, not by us and not by anyone.

White pips are set by hand into each polished face, and the tiles are matched in weight so the game plays evenly. They live in a hardwood case with a sliding lid engraved KIZIMA® Baltic Amber — as much a desk object as a game, whether it sits in an office, a library or a bar corner.

The method is the old one: amber cut, set and polished by hand in a jeweller's amber composition, as it was done in Königsberg, the historic amber capital of the world, long before machines took over. Every set is made in our Brooklyn, New York workshop — no molds, no production line, no two runs alike. The same material and the same patient work produced the 17th-century amber chess set held in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; that craft now continues on this side of the Atlantic.

• Ships from: our KIZIMA® workshop in Brooklyn, New York — to the United States and worldwide.
• U.S. shipping: free on orders over $100; flat $6.95 on orders under $100. Delivery typically 2–7 business days.
• International shipping: from $25, calculated by weight at checkout; delivery 7–14 business days. Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
• Processing: in-stock orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days; made-to-order pieces may take longer.
• Tracking: a confirmation email with a tracking number is sent once your order ships.

Returns Policy

• Return Window: returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
