Made in USA Natural Baltic Amber Saint Nicholas Wonderworker Icon, Handmade Orthodox Icon for Home Altar, Baptism, Name Day & Christmas Gift — KIZIMA®

For a Nicholas, Nick or Nikolai on his Name Day, a traveler, sailor or long-haul driver, a family setting out for a new home, a godson at baptism, or anyone who keeps December 6 and Christmas — Saint Nicholas is among the most loved gifts in the Christian world.

Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archbishop of Myra, is honored by Orthodox and Catholic Christians as the patron of travelers, sailors and children. KIZIMA® presents his traditional image framed in hand-inlaid natural Baltic amber, warm and luminous in any light.

The amber is 44 million years old and entirely natural. Its honey, cognac and cherry tones shift from stone to stone, which is why every KIZIMA® icon is a single, unrepeatable piece.

Nothing here is mass-produced. Each amber fragment is selected, shaped and set by hand in our Brooklyn, New York workshop, following the Königsberg amber tradition — a craft represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art by a 17th-century amber chessboard.
